Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how VibeTemp LLC handles information in connection with Oath and related services.

Last updated: July 3, 2026

1. Introduction

VibeTemp LLC ("VibeTemp," "we," "our," or "us") operates Oath, a mobile application that helps users keep commitments to themselves through Apple Screen Time enforcement, daily progress tracking, and an optional accountability partnership with another user. This Privacy Policy describes what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices available to you.

2. Information We Collect

Oath may collect or process the following types of information depending on which features you use:

3. How We Use Information

We use information to:

4. Information Shared With Your Accountability Partner

Oath's core feature is an optional accountability partnership between two users. If you choose to pair with a partner, some of your information becomes visible to them, and vice versa. Specifically, your partner may see:

Depending on how your partnership is configured, your partner may also set rules (such as blocking configuration) that are applied to your device, and you will be notified when a rule change is requested, approved, or denied, including any message included with that response.

Ending an accountability partnership counts as a slip in your own progress (an XP penalty and streak reset), and your partner will be notified before the partnership is removed.

5. Third-Party Service Providers

We use the following third-party service providers to operate Oath:

These providers may process information according to their own privacy policies.

6. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal information. Other than the accountability-partner sharing and service-provider processing described above, we may share information only when necessary to:

We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we do not use your information for third-party advertising purposes.

7. Data Retention

We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide Oath, maintain security, and comply with legal obligations. Local task and habit data older than 30 days is automatically removed from your device. Journal entries remain on your device only and are never synced. If you reinstall Oath, your local progress (streaks, XP, and check-in history) is not recoverable — your account and authentication session may persist, but progress data does not restore from our servers. Certain short-lived records (such as duplicate-notification prevention for reinstall, tamper, and urge alerts) are retained on our servers only briefly, typically under an hour.

8. Your Rights and Choices

You can:

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, request access to or deletion of that information, request correction of inaccurate information, and opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information — though we do not sell or share personal information as described above. You will not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.

If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction with similar protections, you have the right to access, rectify, or erase your personal information, restrict or object to certain processing, request data portability, and lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. We process your information on the basis of the necessity to perform our contract with you (providing Oath's features), our legitimate interests (such as security and abuse prevention), and your consent where required.

9. Children's Privacy

Oath is not intended for children under 13, and by using Oath you represent that you are at least 13 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

10. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information, including storing authentication credentials in your device's Keychain and storing Screen Time selections as opaque tokens rather than raw content. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. International Users

If you access Oath from outside the United States, your information may be processed in the United States or other locations where our service providers operate. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses, for these transfers.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after changes are posted means the updated policy applies.
